PLAYING WITH ROBOTS

SCI-ARC - LOS ANGELES

The SCI-Arc Robot House is a research facility that presents a unique platform for experiments to be conducted among five Staubli six-axis rotational robots. The robots are placed within close proximity, providing the ability for them to interact with each other. This was a collaborative exploration in robotic potentials through movement and iteration. Original end-arm tools were designed and built, and later put to use in experiments while attached to a robot. The six-axis rotational robots were controlled via a Rhinoceros and a Grasshopper script.
