THROUGH THE LOOKING-GLASS

SCI-ARC B.ARCH THESIS

Through the Looking-Glass is a thesis that seeks to establish new sensibilities of space through the re-examination of spatial and atmospheric effects. This project is a museum for Lewis Carroll's two books, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. To be clear, this thesis is not an allegory to Lewis Carroll and his works, but rather, his stories serve as the main source of inspiration for the project. Alice teaches us not just the fantastic spectacle, but she also teaches us that there is no single perception. This is an architectural project about the perceptual problems that Alice brings to architecture.
